Members of the St. Vincent de Paul Sacramento Diocesan Council (or Vincentians) are men and women who strive to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to persons in need. It is this personalized involvement that makes the work of the Society unique. Vincentians visit those in need in their homes to assess how best to help. It could be financial aid, tangible aid, such as furniture, food, or diapers, or spiritual help. The Society also has Disaster Case Managers and a reentry from incarceration program called the Exodus Project. Those services include emergency housing, transitional housing, employment, transportation, clothing, phones, and counseling.

In 2022, 83,618 people were aided in the Sacramento Council area by Vincentians.

In the spirit of love and justice, the St. Vincent de Paul Sacramento Diocesan Council, Sacramento Council, through its districts and conferences throughout the Diocese of Sacramento, provides person-to-person services of time, talent and resources to help our neighbors in need.

St. Vincent de Paul Sacramento Diocesan Council partners with Giving Property to process real estate donations to benefit St. Vincent de Paul Sacramento Diocesan Council and the community we serve. Our program takes any property type (land, homes, commercial) in any location so long as there is equity. Even if you owe back taxes, have a mortgage balance or have deferred maintenance, it's no problem. We will pay off all loans, liens, commissions owed and all closing costs. If you have a real estate asset that is costing you money or not being utilized, donating it is a great way to give back. You may even claim a significant tax deduction!
