The mission of the New Fairfield/Sherman Animal Welfare Society, Inc. is to offer refuge, medical care, and the opportunity for a second chance for life to needy dogs and cats; to protect animals from cruelty or neglect; to foster a public sentiment of humanity and gentleness toward all living creatures; to encourage and promote responsible pet ownership; and to reduce companion animal overpopulation through humane education and spay/neuter advocacy.
The New Fairfield/Sherman Animal Welfare Society, Inc. has partnered with CARS (Charitable Adult Rides & Services) to process real estate donations to benefit New Fairfield/Sherman Animal Welfare Society, Inc. Our program takes any property type (land, homes, commercial) in any location so long as there is equity. Even if you owe back taxes, have a mortgage balance, or deferred maintenance, it's no problem. We will pay off all loans, liens, commissions owed and pay all closing costs. If you have a real estate asset that is costing you money or not being utilized, donating it is a great way to give back and you may even claim a significant tax deduction!
